Stranger Things…?  Apparently anything is possible in the Arizona night sky during a full moon. I took this shot from the top of South Mountain south of downtown Phoenix. What the heck is solar insolation anyway? By definition, solar insolation is the amount of electromagnetic energy or solar radiation that hit’s the earths surface.  In more simpler terms, it means how much sunlight that rains down on us or where we live. In the summer Nevada, is dry, hot and sunny. In the winter it is dry, cold and sunny! Without getting technical the point is that if you live in Nevada you see plenty of sunshine year round and it’s a great place for creating solar electricity. The below map demonstrates solar insolation in terms of colors. Red is the most intensive to white being the least intensive.
